Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It has been an exciting month here on the campus of the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE). On August 17th the Costa Rican Legislative Assembly convened on campus marking their first official visit to Turrialba. We also enjoyed visits from the Canadian Ambassador, Costa Rica's Vice President, and the Secretary-General of CARICOM (Caribbean Community). Additionally, in this month's news updates you can...
- read the Tropics Foundation interview with award-winning coffee producer Price Peterson
- check out some of CATIE's newest scientific publications including the effects of agro-forestry systems on the physical and chemical characteristics of green coffee beans, and
-
learn about opportunities to support access to higher education for youth from Latin America's Indigenous communities.
As always, thank you for your support and please reach out to learn more about these initiatives.
